About the position

The Credit Risk Analyst II/III at the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland plays a crucial role in minimizing the risk of loss from failed depository institutions and supporting the integrity of the payment system. This position involves analyzing account use, participating in application testing, and providing recommendations to mitigate risks. The analyst will also engage in financial analyses, prepare briefings for decision-makers, and contribute to the development of analytical techniques to enhance data integrity and timeliness.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily operations of core functions are conducted consistently with established policy and risk requirements.
  • Participate and occasionally lead department and Bank workgroups to enhance processes or policies.
  • Advise and counsel on complex issues related to district depository institutions.
  • Review payment system activity and recommend collateral requirements to safeguard the District.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings and presentations for key decision-makers.
  • Perform financial analyses on the condition of depository institutions for credit risk assessment.
  • Assist with the development of analytical techniques and data extraction methods.
  • Analyze complex financial statements for liquidity analysis.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field and 5+ years of related work experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field and 3+ years of related work experience required.
  • Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field and 0-1+ years of related work experience required.
  • Advanced ability to perform independent research.
  • Intermediate knowledge of regulations and practices of credit risk.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced critical thinking and strategic planning skills.
