As a Credit Risk Underwriter at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in the financial technology sector by analyzing and assessing the creditworthiness of both existing and new national accounts. Your primary responsibility will be to review a high volume of risk alerts to identify potentially high-risk or suspicious merchant processing activities. This involves making real-time decisions to determine which situations require deeper investigation, as well as identifying emerging fraud trends and false positive alerts that do not necessitate further action. In addition to monitoring risk alerts, you will coordinate risk mitigation and fraud remediation efforts with various departments within the organization, including Funding, Legal, Operations, and Client Services. You will also be tasked with conducting detailed financial analyses of new and existing merchant requests, assigning credit ratings, and applying appropriate credit enhancements when necessary. Your role will require you to engage in high-level conversations with both internal and external clients, maintaining a solid understanding of the Partners' credit policies and procedures. You will need to identify exceptions to policy and document any deficiencies in the account underwriting and referral processes. This position is integral to ensuring that Fiserv continues to operate securely and efficiently in the fast-paced world of financial transactions. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to innovation and excellence, contributing to the overall mission of moving money and information in a way that moves the world.
