About the position

The Aircraft Mechanic II position at Solution One Industries, Inc. involves servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft and their components to ensure airworthiness. The role is based at Creech AFB in Indian Springs, NV, with potential temporary deployments for Predator-series UAS maintenance. The mechanic will utilize various tools and equipment to diagnose and fix malfunctions, perform maintenance checks, and recommend improvements to maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and overhaul aircraft, aircraft engines, and critical components.
• Inspect and repair power plant malfunctions, including cracked components and oil leaks.
• Diagnose malfunctions, isolate causes, and correct breaks.
• Test engine operations and use test equipment to locate sources of malfunctions.
• Replace/repair damaged components and remove engine/major components from aircraft.
• Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.
• Repair/replace defective engine components and reassemble and install engines in aircraft.
• Adjust, repair, or replace instruments, avionics/navigation, and associated aircraft accessories.
• Perform aircraft services including engine flushing/cleaning and parts lubrication.
• Recommend revisions to maintenance procedures to improve efficiency and ensure quality workmanship.

Requirements

• Knowledge of technical publications related to weapons systems and ground support equipment.
• Understanding of engine operations, accessories, components, and basic flight theory.
• Knowledge of sheet metal, composites, and properties of materials, fuels, and oils.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturers and aircraft maintenance manuals, service bulletins, blueprints, and wiring/schematic diagrams.
• Ability to inspect, repair, and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship upon hire.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
• Eligibility to gain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
