About the position
The Crematory Operator at Companion Pet Cremation is responsible for managing the entire cremation process with compassion and professionalism. This role involves operating crematory equipment, transporting pets, and ensuring respectful handling of remains, all while providing support to grieving pet owners.
Responsibilities
- Operate crematory equipment with precision, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and company standards.
- Conduct removal of pets from veterinary clinics, homes, or other locations and transport them safely to the facility.
- Complete necessary paperwork and digital records for each pet, including logging identification details and tracking cremation status.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of all crematory and removal equipment, inspecting regularly for optimal operation.
- Interact professionally and sensitively with clients, providing reassurance and assistance throughout the process.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Prior experience in crematory operations, veterinary support, animal care, or similar field preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50-75 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in veterinary support or animal care is a plus.
