This is an entry-level management position overseeing day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with customer service standards, company standards, and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation to ensure compliance with customer service standards, Company standards, and regulatory standards.
  • Assist management with staffing to include schedules, outages, vacations, etc.
  • Act as liaison between stations operations and members of management.
  • Assist management for upkeep of training records for all employees.
  • Actively involved with respect to airport operations, meetings, and all planning sessions.
  • Perform the duties of a Ground Security Coordinator (GSC).
  • Greet and assist all customers in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Provide check-in assistance, ticketing changes, re-booking of itineraries and special service requests for passengers.
  • Check and accept passenger baggage.
  • Board/deplane flights and escort passengers to and from aircraft as needed.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and airline policies.
  • Provide accurate gate, flight arrival and departure information.
  • Assist unaccompanied minors and passengers with special needs.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of policies and processes pertaining to unaccompanied minors and other regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clear and accurate communication to passengers, agents, flight crews and vendors.
  • Responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the ramp.
  • Monitor customer safety during boarding and deplaning.
  • Marshal aircraft on the ramp.
  • Observe safe ground-handling procedures and maintenance of ground service equipment.
  • Careful handling of customer baggage and company material.
  • Service aircraft as needed.
  • Assist in ramp set up and storage of equipment and baggage.
  • Perform special projects and/or other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least nine (9) months of prior airlines or industry experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must have a valid driver license and good driving record.
  • Must understand, read, and write English; ability to read, write, speak and understand Spanish is a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED certification preferred.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft suite of products including Office 365, Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated and able to motivate others.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism.
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
  • Able to lift 75lbs routinely with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Able to work in stressful situations and tight time constraints.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements.
