About the position

The Crew Chief position at Team Car Care is a management role focused on delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth within the service center. As a Crew Chief, you will work closely with the General Manager to lead the team, ensure operational efficiency, and enhance the guest experience. Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the General Manager to ensure consistent revenue growth through guest count and sales performance.
  • Coach and execute excellent customer service while creating an exceptional guest experience.
  • Set a positive example as a leader while building team engagement and efficiency.
  • Develop teammates by leveraging the internal training program and providing ongoing guidance.
  • Ensure quality control measures and processes are followed consistently.
  • Carry out duties such as inventory management, cash handling, and addressing guest issues.
  • Assist the General Manager with budgeting, sales forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Provide clear and detailed direction to the team consistently.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable service center according to the Guide to Excellence.
  • Guide and mentor automotive technicians and customer service associates.
  • Perform opening and closing duties when the General Manager is off.
  • Assist in building and maintaining an engaged workforce that reflects customer volume and business needs.
  • Lead daily team huddles and store meetings to set direction for achieving business goals.
  • Manage inventory and product orders to meet business needs.
  • Adhere to all rules and regulations to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Assist guests with their questions and needs in-person, electronically, or via telephone.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of retail management experience.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven leadership ability to inspire and motivate diverse groups.
  • Sound business sense and understanding of the retail industry.
  • Ability to analyze and recommend financial objectives to increase sales.
  • Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude and professional conduct.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced, flexible, high-performance retail environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to stand on hard surfaces and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
