About the position
The Transportation Crew Driver is responsible for the transportation of crews and captains, along with miscellaneous transportation tasks. This role involves driving company-owned vehicles to various locations, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Utilize company-owned vehicles to drive to and from various locations, including ships, airports, and hotels.
- Inspect vehicle before and after trips/shifts and report damage, mechanical, and maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Perform required user maintenance tasks as needed.
- Provide outstanding customer service when transporting crews to and from ships, airports, and hotels.
- Maintain all required OSHA certifications.
- Comply with all DOT rules and requirements for transporting passengers and/or potentially hazardous materials.
- Maintain and protect all company property, including trucks, cars, vans, parts, and equipment.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required.
- 1-2 years of related experience required.
- Valid Driver's license and acceptable MVR required.
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
Nice-to-haves
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Safe driving skills, including the ability to maneuver in congested areas.
