About the position

The Crew Lead position at Freedom Forever involves overseeing the installation of residential solar systems, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with a team on various roofing and ground mount installations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the entire installation project.
• Ensure safety on the job site.
• Complete installations on various roof types and ground mounts.
• Supervise the quality and efficiency of work performed on site.
• Communicate with the Roof Lead and Branch Manager regarding necessary changes.
• Mount racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
• Thoroughly fill out job documents and collect data and photos for each job.
• Ensure the rooftop team works collaboratively to improve productivity.
• Drive the company vehicle safely to and from jobs.
• Manage truck tools and material inventory.
• Supervise troubleshooting and fixing projects.
• Clean up the job site after completion.
• Perform required travel for extended periods as needed.

Requirements

• Residential Wireman or Licensed Electrician required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1+ year experience, including at least 6 months of leading a crew.
• Electrical and roof racking experience.
• Strong motivation with attention to productivity, detail, and safety.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in confined areas.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment (up to 50 pounds).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to work in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, rain, etc.).
• Proficient with power and hand tools.
