About the position

The Special Projects Crew Lead is a supervisory role that combines hands-on work with leadership responsibilities. The individual in this position will oversee field personnel, ensuring that all tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. This role is integral to driving CCI's mission and values, focusing on safety, innovation, and excellence in various industrial services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment.
• Oversee and direct the Crafts of the Special Projects Department.
• Demonstrate proficient working knowledge of crane operations, excavation techniques, welding, insulation, scaffold, blast and coating, spill response, and permitting processes.
• Lead by example while complying with all CCI Industrial guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Supervise field personnel efficiently and safely, maintaining conformance to awarded scope of work.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with Superintendent and management to overcome issues and challenges.
• Attend site visits and job walk-downs on behalf of CCI.
• Draft technical narratives and sequence work tasks for project execution plans.
• Lead job preparation, ensuring all materials and equipment are ready for use and mobilized efficiently.
• Execute tasks consistent with approved plans, schedules, and scope of work.
• Promote and participate in safety programs and lead safety discussions.
• Manage hazardous waste and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Obtain a 24/40-hour HAZWOPER certification and participate in the spill response program.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 10 years of oilfield experience related to heavy equipment operations, mechanical and safety is required.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• NSTC certification required.
• 24 Hrs. Hazwoper within 30 days of hire is required.
• Valid driver's license is required; CDL is helpful.

Nice-to-haves

• STS Training Certification is preferred.
• OSHA 10 or 30 training is preferred.
