About the position

The Crew Planner is a pivotal role within Flexjet, responsible for the effective utilization of crew resources and the development of long-range staffing plans that comply with company policies and FAA regulations. This position requires the use of analytical tools to ensure that crew scheduling aligns with operational demands and regulatory requirements. The Crew Planner will liaise with various internal departments to coordinate staffing plans and ensure that all crew members receive exceptional customer service. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of crew operations, which directly impacts the overall performance of the company. In this role, the Crew Planner will develop long-term staffing plans for pilots, facilitating the six-month schedule bid and vacation bid processes. They will also manage the monthly PBS schedule bid, monitor and adjust crew members' schedules in response to program movements, and ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained. The Crew Planner will analyze monthly staffing requirements against owner demand to proactively manage any short-term staffing deficits, ensuring that the company can meet its operational commitments. Additionally, the Crew Planner will be responsible for the scheduling coordination of OE tours and PIC upgrades, ensuring that all updates to crew members' schedules are accurately reflected in CAMP, the company's centralized aviation database. They will also coordinate the implementation of staffing and training plans with various departments, research and resolve conflicts regarding crew schedules, and reconcile crew members' schedules to ensure accurate payroll reporting to HR. This includes managing paid time off, overtime, and per diem reporting. The Crew Planner may also be assigned other duties by the Manager or Director as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term staffing plans for pilots.
  • Facilitate 6-month schedule bid and vacation bid.
  • Facilitate monthly PBS schedule bid.
  • Monitor and adjust crew members' schedules due to program movement to ensure adequate staffing and effective crew utilization.
  • Analyze monthly staffing requirements against owner demand to proactively manage any short-term staffing deficits.
  • Responsible for scheduling coordination of OE tours and PIC upgrades.
  • Ensure accurate updates to crew members' schedules in CAMP, the company's centralized aviation database.
  • Coordinate implementation of staffing/training plans with various departments.
  • Research and resolve conflicts regarding crew schedules.
  • Update ILC schedules in CAMP based on aircraft commander crew schedules.
  • Reconcile crew members' schedules to ensure accurate crew payroll reporting to HR, including paid time off, overtime, and per diem reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or aviation preferred.
  • Two to four years' related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience or a Flexjet employee with proven results within the company.
  • Two years related experience either in a Scheduling or Planning environment at a 135 or 121 airline operation; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior Planning or Scheduling experience within Flexjet preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of FARs in regard to Part 91, 121 or 135 airline operations.
