About The Position

The Crew Scheduling Assistant Manager at Bowling Green Flight Center is responsible for assisting in the training and direction of scheduling team members, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting student progress in flight training. This role involves scheduling lessons, maintaining student records, and communicating effectively with staff and students to facilitate a smooth training process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in training and directing the priorities of scheduling team members.
  • Ensure team is scheduling student lessons to perpetuate efficiencies and student progression.
  • Use Talon ETA software system to accurately schedule lessons to facilitate student training progression.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and upkeep of student records in compliance with FARs and standard operating procedures.
  • Schedule and track stage checks.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with CSSS Manager regarding student progress and/or student concerns.
  • Maintain effective communication channels with other staff and students as needed.
  • Accurately document student attendance and progression.
  • Develop a basic knowledge of TCOs to ensure proper lesson scheduling.
  • Actively participate in BGFC's safety program.
  • Monitor student progress through running Talon reports and follow up appropriately.
  • Assist Crew Scheduling & Student Support Manager with building the semesterly flight slot schedule.
  • Help with prospective student events and serve as the Aviation Ambassador Advisor.
  • Provide in person and virtual informational presentations for prospective students and family members as needed.
  • Create content for BGSU Aviation social media pages.
  • Other duties as assigned.
