About the position

The Crew Scheduling Specialist is responsible for scheduling crew duty assignments in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations and EJM guidelines. This role also involves cross-training in crew training and records to assist with training scheduling and reporting as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assign pilots, cabin attendants, and cabin service managers to trips, ensuring compliance with relevant Federal Aviation Regulations and EJM Policy.
  • Gather, interpret, and respond to inquiries from crewmembers and other internal/external customers regarding regulatory requirements related to duty, flight, and rest.
  • Source supplemental crew support and vet crewmember qualifications for scheduled flight segments when needed.
  • Ensure crew member contact information and preferences are entered in the appropriate system of record.
  • Review and complete crew duty assignments for all trips added to the Flight Management System timeline, communicating with appropriate departments when changes are needed.
  • Participate in quarterly cross-training with the Crew Training and Records department to understand company and FAA requirements for crew qualifications.
  • Utilize the crew training database and produce reports as needed.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in an operations environment.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with shifting and/or competing priorities.
  • Ability to communicate professionally in stressful situations.
  • Working knowledge of all relevant FAA regulations, EJM manuals, and EJM policies and procedures.
  • Ability to make autonomous decisions considering multiple variables.
