About the position

The Village of Mount Horeb is seeking a full-time Public Services Crewperson to join the Public Services Department. This role involves performing maintenance on various public infrastructure, including streets, storm sewers, buildings, and parks, utilizing a range of mechanized equipment. The position requires a working knowledge of light automotive and construction equipment, as well as skills in plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on streets, storm sewers, buildings, grounds, and parks.
• Operate and maintain snow removal equipment, wheel loaders, skid steers, backhoes, mowers, street sweepers, and brush chippers.
• Conduct snow removal and equipment maintenance.
• Mow grass and perform asphalt and concrete repairs.
• Maintain buildings and perform carpentry tasks.
• Assist with traffic sign maintenance and forestry operations.

Requirements

• Valid WI Driver's License
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Experience in plumbing, electrical work, concrete, and carpentry is a plus.

Nice-to-haves
