About the position

The CRIBL with Splunk Admin position at CGI Group, Inc. involves supporting CRIBL and Splunk Administration for a major client. The role requires working with a high-performing team to consult and develop solutions, focusing on data processing pipelines and Splunk administration. The position allows for independent work under limited supervision and emphasizes the importance of effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and manage data processing pipelines using Cribl LogStream.
  • Implement data transformation and routing rules using Cribl LogStream functions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing pipelines/infrastructure.
  • Work with various data sources such as logs, metrics, Splunk, AWS, and events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth operation of data processing systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members.
  • Assist Splunkers for data onboarding and drive innovative solutions for corporate data collection to Splunk Cloud.
  • Solve Splunk administration problems using knowledge of automation, scripting, and DevOps tools.
  • Engage application and infrastructure teams to establish best practices for utilizing Splunk data and visualizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps tools (Ansible, Git, Terraform, Docker, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of data processing concepts and techniques.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in designing, building, and managing complex data processing pipelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Cribl LogStream to transform and route data between systems.
  • Knowledge of advanced search and reporting commands in Splunk.
