About the position

The Crime Intelligence Analyst position at the City of Orlando involves providing critical administrative and investigative support to the Orlando Police Department's Crime Center. The role focuses on real-time monitoring of incidents, supporting ongoing investigations, and analyzing crime trends to enhance public safety. Responsibilities

• Provide research and investigative support during emergency calls for service.
• Monitor crime center cameras for incidents in progress.
• Support sworn investigators with active investigations.
• Analyze case reports for crime trends.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, Sociology, or related field.
• Three (3) years experience as a Crime Analyst or Police Research Assistant.
• Must pass police background investigation including polygraph.

Nice-to-haves

• FDLE Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Training (FLEAT) certificate preferred.
• FDLE Florida Law Enforcement Analyst Academy (FLEAA) certificate preferred.

Benefits

• Open salary range from $23.88 to $30.45 per hour.
