About the position

The Crisis Clinician I for the Child Youth Family Crisis Team (CYFCT) provides essential therapeutic services to clients with behavioral health disorders, focusing on recovery and independence. This role involves crisis intervention, treatment planning, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care for clients. The clinician is responsible for assessing client needs, developing tailored care plans, and delivering both individual and group services, while also serving as a crisis team member when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapeutic services to clients with behavioral health disorders.
• Conduct assessments of client functioning and needs.
• Develop and evaluate individualized treatment plans with clients.
• Perform crisis interventions and manage risk issues.
• Deliver medically necessary clinical interventions, including counseling and case management services.
• Facilitate group patient education and support groups.
• Coordinate services with community agencies and other treatment providers.
• Document service delivery accurately and in compliance with agency standards.
• Participate in supervision and team meetings regularly.
• Maintain compliance with required trainings and certifications.

Requirements

• BA/BS/BSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field required.
• Experience working with children, youth, and/or families required.
• Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices preferred or willingness to learn.
• Valid Washington State Driver's License and ability to transport self to various locations.
• Ability to pass pre-employment criminal background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Child Mental Health Specialist (CMHS) certification preferred.
• Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• General computer proficiency, including electronic medical record systems.
