About the position
The Crisis Intervention Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering Children's Crisis Response services, providing targeted interventions for children and families in crisis. This full-time position involves conducting assessments, developing crisis plans, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, all while working flexible shifts that may include evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial assessments of clients' needs.
- Develop Individual Crisis Plans to enhance functioning and mental health of children and families.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agency requirements.
- Perform ongoing client re-evaluation throughout treatment.
- Document client interactions in a timely manner.
- Make at least weekly calls to clients.
Requirements
- Master's Degree plus one (1) year of experience, OR bachelor's degree with three (3) years of experience required, five (5) years preferred.
- Prior experience providing treatment services to children or adolescents is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Valid NJ driver's license with a clean driving record.
- COVID-19 vaccination required; booster optional.
Nice-to-haves
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required.
- LSW or a LAC is a plus.
