About The Position
The Crisis Intervention Specialist position at the Irvine Police Department is a critical role within the Mobile Crisis Response team, focusing on assessing and managing behavioral health issues of clients in crisis. This position involves providing immediate assistance to individuals experiencing mental health crises, emotional distress, or urgent needs, either independently or in collaboration with police and fire departments. The role is flexibly staffed and can be filled at either the Civilian Investigator I or II level, depending on the candidate's experience.
