About the position

The Crisis LMHP position at Peace Community Health Services is a senior management role responsible for ensuring the delivery of community mental health services in compliance with state and federal regulations. The role involves providing corporate consultation, oversight, and support to the Executive Director, focusing on the planning, organization, and direction of clinical operations. The LMHP will ensure high-quality care and customer service while overseeing clinical staff and managing treatment documentation and discharge planning for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical consultation and oversight to all clinical areas within the Agency.
  • Assess and develop overall clinical services.
  • Provide direct guidance in crisis situations and challenging clinical scenarios.
  • Collaborate with other Clinicians to support staff development and address concerns.
  • Provide Clinical Supervision to Clinicians according to licensure requirements.
  • Complete and review initial clinical assessments and reassessments for all programs.
  • Develop a calendar of clinical staffing for all Clinicians and QMHPs.
  • Lead clinical staffing/treatment team meetings and document participant progress.
  • Provide crisis counseling/intervention and document accordingly.
  • Develop clinically sound treatment plans and monitor their implementation.
  • Assist in making revisions to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide training to agency staff, including new employee orientation.
  • Promote the program positively to elicit referrals and maintain program growth.
  • Attend all mandatory agency training sessions.
  • Provide in-service training to clinical staff regularly.
  • Monitor clinical records for quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in the hiring and termination process as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed, resident, or supervisee mental health professional in Virginia.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience providing direct services to individuals with mental health diagnoses for Clinical Director role.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for community mental health services is preferred.
  • Ability to work from a person-centered framework and provide training services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Mobile Crisis, 23 Hour, and Community Stabilization cases.
  • Skills in individual and family therapy.
  • Experience with virtual supervision.
