About the position

The Critical Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA) position at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital-New Braunfels involves providing high-quality medical care in a Level IV Trauma Center. The role requires working in a closed ICU setting, with responsibilities split between day and night shifts, ensuring patient-centered care and advanced medical services in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients in the ICU setting.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform procedures such as intubations, central lines, and arterial lines.
• Manage patient care independently during overnight shifts with physician support available via phone.
• Participate in the hospital's commitment to high-quality medical services and patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Board Certification in Critical Care & Pulmonology for physicians.
• Active Texas license and DEA for all practitioners.
• At least 1 year of experience in critical care for both NP/PA and physicians.
• NPs must have Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) certification.
• Procedural competency in intubations, central lines, and arterial lines.
