The Nocturnist Critical Care Physician Assistant position in Petersburg, Virginia, involves providing high-quality patient care during overnight shifts in a critical care setting. Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, comprehensive care to patients in a 28-bed ICU (14 MICU and 14 CVICU) as part of a 300-bed hospital with Level III Trauma designation and a primary stroke center.
• Demonstrate autonomous care within an ICU setting for medical and surgical patients with support from a full complement of medical subspecialists.
• Exemplify skillful procedures, such as arterial and central lines, hemodialysis, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertion, intubation, endoscopy, EKG, paracentesis, thoracentesis, stress test, and vent management, as needed.
• Utilize the EPIC EMR system.

Requirements

• Graduate degree from an accredited physician assistant program.
• 3+ years of critical care physician assistant experience required.
• Active NP license or eligible to be licensed in Virginia.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
