As a Critical Environment Instrumentation Engineer (CEIE) at Microsoft, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational excellence of our mission-critical datacenters. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team of industry professionals across the Information Technology (IT) and Critical Environments (CE) spectrum. You will be part of Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) team, which is the backbone of our cloud services, supporting platforms such as Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure. Your contributions will directly impact the infrastructure that serves over 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the availability and security of Industrial Controls Systems (ICS) within our datacenters. You will manage and govern the electrical and mechanical systems that are critical to our operations, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. Your work will involve project management, where you will oversee multiple concurrent infrastructure projects, balancing competing demands and adapting to changing priorities. You will also be expected to develop positive working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering a culture of safety and security in our global operations.
