About the position

The Critical Facility Manager (CFM) is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the operations of the Critical Facility Technician Shop (CFT) at the Terrorist Screening Center (TSC). This position requires a dedicated individual who can provide mission-critical support 24/7/365, ensuring that all requests for service, whether through work tickets, emails, or phone calls, are addressed promptly and efficiently. The CFM will work closely with the Government Facilities Manager (GFM) to coordinate facilities issues and requests, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and effectively. In this role, the CFM will be tasked with assigning duties to shop personnel, setting priorities, and monitoring the timely completion of all work. This includes evaluating and analyzing work performance to ensure that both short-term and long-term goals are met. The CFM will also manage subcontractors, tracking project performance and ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. Leadership skills are essential, as the CFM will be responsible for developing and guiding the team to achieve operational excellence. The position requires a proactive and results-driven individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The CFM must be highly organized, possess a strong work ethic, and have meticulous attention to detail. Extensive experience in the operation of Building Automation Systems (BAS) is required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7/365 mission critical support for the TSC.
  • Ensure work tickets, email requests, and telephone requests for service are received and attended to in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate closely with the Government Facilities Manager (GFM) regarding facilities issues and requests.
  • Assign tasks to shop personnel, set priorities, and monitor timely completion of all work.
  • Evaluate and analyze work performance.
  • Manage subcontractors.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Use and continually develop leadership skills.

Requirements

  • Possess an active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • Shall be a licensed journeyman electrician, journeyman plumber, journeyman HVAC, or journeyman carpenter.
  • Licensed Master Electrician or Master HVAC Technician.
  • Shall have a minimum of 10 documented years of experience in facilities of similar size and scope, with a minimum of three years' experience in a lead role.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Extensive experience in the operation of Building Automation Systems (BAS) of similar size and scope.
