The Critical Facility Technician 1 position at M.C. Dean, Inc. involves working in a data center environment for the Department of Defense (DOD). The technician is responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment, performing both preventative maintenance and emergency responses. Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Respond to emergency issues and perform corrective work as needed.
• Serve as a technical resource and focal point for facility operations within the data center.
• Conduct daily walk-throughs to document facility parameters such as power availability and temperature.
• Utilize safe working practices including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
• Navigate and verify the status of electrical and mechanical infrastructure using BMS and EPMS systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman Electrician License.
• Journeyman HVAC License or equivalent preferred.
• 4+ years of data center experience.
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with CMMS systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SharePoint.
• Knowledge of refrigeration cycles and troubleshooting techniques.
