About the position

The CRM Data Analyst/Data Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the Tech Operations data team within the entertainment industry. This position involves performing routine functions that are essential for data management and quality assurance. The Data Engineer is responsible for running standardized queries to extract data from various data lakes and tools, ensuring that the data is accurately parsed and loaded into the appropriate platforms. The role requires adherence to strict information security procedures, which are critical in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of the data being handled. On a daily basis, the Data Engineer will execute queries to extract necessary data, parse files according to platform ingestion limitations, and load these files into platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) and Braze. Quality assurance is a significant part of the job, as the Data Engineer must resolve any discrepancies that arise during the data loading process. Additionally, documentation of the completion of tasks and maintaining an audit trail in Jira is required to ensure transparency and accountability in the data handling processes. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in scripting languages and job scheduling, with a minimum of three years of experience. Familiarity with data platforms like Snowflake and Databricks is preferred, as is experience with email, push, and in-app platforms. The candidate should also be well-versed in Agile software development methodologies, particularly SCRUM and Kanban, and have a solid understanding of quality assurance and information security procedures. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Run standardized queries to extract data from data lakes and other tools.

  • Document completion and maintain an audit trail in Jira.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years scripting languages and scheduling jobs (SQL, Python).
  • Experience with data platforms Snowflake/Databricks preferred.
  • Experience with email/push/in-app platforms (Salesforce, Braze) preferred.
  • Experience with quality assurance and InfoSec procedures.
  • Experience with Agile software development methodology (SCRUM, Kanban).
  • Experience with Jira preferred.
