About the position

The CRM Database and Advancement Operations Manager at the San Antonio Museum of Art is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the Museum's Altru database, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across various departments. This role involves compiling and synthesizing data to enhance reporting and decision-making processes, supporting philanthropic efforts, and improving user experience for donors and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the Museum's Altru database system, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and security.
  • Develop and generate dashboards, progress updates, and reports related to Membership, Advancement, ticket sales, and other metrics.
  • Support tracking and reconciliation of monthly philanthropic revenue, liaising with the Business Office and Chief Advancement Officer.
  • Execute queries and suppression reports for Advancement mailings, events, and giving activity.
  • Provide oversight for philanthropic gift processing, data entry, and acknowledgment of gifts.
  • Train and support all database users Museum-wide to ensure effective use of the Altru system.
  • Perform regular data audits to ensure quality control and support technical capabilities.
  • Improve external user experience for donors, members, and visitors.
  • Establish protocols for information sharing across Museum departments.
  • Perform regular Altru system updates, backups, and optimizations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Blackbaud/Altru and coordinate with IT and external vendors.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Advancement Officer on key Advancement goals and strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Arts Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience in CRM database administration, preferably with Altru or a similar system.
  • Solid experience in Advancement and Membership management.
  • Deep understanding of data and systems to support decision-making.
  • Experience working in a museum or arts-related environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CRM tools, including prospect research and predictive modeling.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends, evening hours, and holidays.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with a salary range of $55,000 - $60,000.
