About the position

Milwaukee County is seeking a skilled Salesforce Implementation Specialist to lead and support the integration, configuration, and optimization of Salesforce solutions tailored for county government operations. The specialist will collaborate with the technical team to implement Salesforce CRM functionalities that streamline workflows, improve data management, and enhance public services. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in Salesforce platform deployment, customization, and training for public sector applications, ensuring compliance with government policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze county departments' needs requirement documents to develop Salesforce solutions that address specific operational challenges.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce features, including dashboards, workflows, reports, and APIs to ensure the platform aligns with department goals.
  • Work with Enterprise apps to migrate data from legacy systems into new Salesforce instance.
  • Execute the deployment of new Salesforce features, updates, and explore integrations with existing applications such as Microsoft Outlook.
  • Work closely with Applications Architect to confirm business requirements and translate them into Salesforce configurations.
  • Conduct regular demonstrations and presentations to inform and train Enterprise Apps staff on Salesforce functionalities and created flows.
  • Update Jira tasks as work is completed in real time to ensure project transparency.
  • Provide documentation for technical support for Enterprise Apps, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions in a timely manner related to transition.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of Salesforce applications, adjusting where necessary to meet county goals.
  • Develop comprehensive user manuals, guides, and training materials.
  • Train Enterprise apps on how to use Salesforce CRM and other requested government functions created by contractor.
  • Maintain detailed records of system configurations, workflows, and custom solutions.
  • Ensure that all Salesforce implementations adhere to government standards, including data security, privacy policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Change management will adhere to Milwaukee County's process. Implementation partner will be expected to follow change management window and participate in weekly change management review meetings.
  • All change management requests from Implementation partner must include Applications Architect for validation.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Salesforce implementation, particularly in government or public sector settings.
  • Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Government Cloud, or similar CRM tools in a government environment is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in system integration, data migration, and customization within Salesforce.
  • At least one of the following certifications; Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Certified Implementation Expert, or other relevant Salesforce certifications.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, and third-party integrations.
  • Strong understanding of public sector operations, workflows, and project management tools like Jira.
  • Familiarity with SQL, data mapping, and reporting tools such as PowerBi.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with the Enterprise Apps Team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in or with county government entities.
  • Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience implementing Salesforce for case management, service requests, and community engagement solutions.
