About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the CRM and Client Insights team, focusing on building a new product using Microsoft's Azure Cloud Platform. This role involves managing a team of engineers and collaborating with global teams to deliver innovative solutions while ensuring adherence to technical strategies and architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of engineers and less experienced managers.
  • Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture and non-functional requirements for each release.
  • Engage with architects and experienced engineers to incorporate technical strategies and enable application migration paths.
  • Act as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborations and planning.
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for resolving technology roadblocks and managing the software development cycle.
  • Act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and teams to remove impediments and encourage a culture of learning and improvement.
  • Conduct peer reviews and guide design to ensure quality and alignment with technical direction.
  • Interpret and ensure security, stability, and scalability within technology functions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to drive user satisfaction and influence technology requirements.
  • Interact with third-party vendors and technology service providers.
  • Manage allocation of resources and career development for team members.
  • Hire, mentor, and guide talent development of direct reports.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of Leadership experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • 4+ years of CRM experience.
  • 4+ years of ETL experience.
  • 4+ years of Azure experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL Server database design and administration.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies used in waterfall or Agile development projects.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience with Agile tools such as Confluence or Jira.
