About the position

The CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) is a vital role responsible for providing anesthesia care in collaboration with surgeons during surgical procedures. This position involves comprehensive patient care before, during, and after surgery, ensuring proper sedation and pain management while maintaining patient safety and comfort. The CRNA is also tasked with adhering to governing policies and maintaining a safe environment for optimal patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform the pre-anesthesia evaluation.
• Order appropriate pre-anesthetic medications.
• Document a discussion of the anesthesia plan and risks with the patient.
• Maintain anesthesia at the required levels.
• Ensure all emergency equipment is in proper working order.
• Administer anesthesia for any surgical, diagnostic, or therapeutic procedures performed.
• Provide professional observations and resuscitative care until the patient has regained control of their vital functions, including the ordering of medications necessary in the recovery period.
• Perform the post-anesthetic evaluation.
• Maintain appropriate education, certifications, licensure, and training.
• Follow company anesthesia billing requirements and documentation guidelines.
• Participate in the Company's mandatory education and in-services.
• Complete regulatory documentation accurately and promptly.
