About the position
The Warehouse Associate - Cross Dock at Coke Florida is responsible for efficiently moving, verifying, and tracking products and materials within a warehouse environment. This role involves operating various powered tools and vehicles, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The position requires teamwork and individual effort to manage inventory and support warehouse operations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Transport product and raw materials to replenish floor stock, load and unload trailers, and route trucks using industrial equipment and manual labor.
- Verify and record data of product movement with a handheld device during loading and unloading processes.
- Maintain required records for product inventory and tracking of company and customer trailers on company property.
- Ensure proper storage of trailers and report any problems or damage with equipment.
- Maintain an orderly and clean work area in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements, including general equipment maintenance.
- Fill in for other positions as needed to perform general warehouse and cooler service duties, which may require bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting of 50+ pounds.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Prior general work experience required.
- Ability to safely operate a manual/powered forklift, pallet jack, or lift product manually.
- Ability to safely operate tractor/trailers.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work individually and with teams.
- Ability to shift between tasks and assist others to fulfill responsibilities.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice-to-haves
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- 1+ year prior warehouse/stocking/forklift experience preferred.
- Previous experience within a high-speed industrial environment a plus.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
