About the position

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer for Cross Domain Solutions is responsible for maintaining cybersecurity systems to protect military operations. This role involves identifying necessary tools and security systems to assess vulnerabilities, leading the development and implementation of security solutions, and troubleshooting complex challenges related to data transfer and cybersecurity policy. The engineer will work closely with Navy solutions, focusing on risk management and infrastructure controls to enhance cybersecurity posture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships quickly with other teams and communicate security complexities to various audiences, including senior management.
  • Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, enhancing detection and vulnerability capabilities in large enterprises.
  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments across network, system, and application areas, utilizing big data analytics to identify advanced threats.
  • Lead the development and execution of security solutions to protect military operations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience supporting Navy Risk Management Framework (RMF) execution, including familiarity with RMF Process Guide, SOPs, eMASS workflows, and NIST 800-53 security controls.
  • 4+ years of experience performing cybersecurity compliance testing using tools like ACAS and DoD STIG.
  • Experience providing subject matter expertise on cross domain solutions and bi-directional data transfer between networks of different classification levels.
  • Ability to interface with clients and stakeholders, leading tasks from inception to completion.
  • Experience reviewing policy and developing evidence documents for cross domain services standards.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve issues across multiple applications or technologies.
  • TS/SCI clearance and a high school diploma or GED.
  • DoD 8140 Certification, including CompTIA Security+.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux environments.
  • Experience analyzing technical and policy documentation for DoD organizations.
  • Experience with XML Schema Definition (XSD).
  • Knowledge of systems engineering and information technology.
  • Certifications such as GRC, CISM, CCISO, CISSP, GIAC, GSLC, or CASP+.
