About the position

The position is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the commercial plan for the companies under its scope, ensuring that operations align with local needs and legal regulations. The role involves defining sales strategies, managing shop operations, and promoting a positive work environment while analyzing financial performance and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures correct and complete implementation of the commercial plan for the companies under his/her scope
  • Adds value and knowhow to the execution of the operating model and adapts the organization to local needs
  • Participates in determining the correct sales strategy for the Cruise Line
  • Defines all commercial criteria to be applied in the shops in coordination with Marketing and Category Management
  • Ensures that decisions and recommendations from the Cruise line/Head office are applied in shops
  • Ensures that shops are run in accordance with legal rules and technical specifications as safety regulations
  • Ensures that all staff and material are present in accordance with the activities requirements
  • Follows sales evolutions and analyzes figures to prepare weekly and monthly activity reports
  • Ensures a correct level of reporting from shops
  • Guarantees the correct implementation of processes in general and especially of promotions
  • Regularly controls stocks situation and issues monthly shop count inventories
  • Guarantees a fluid logistics organization and delivery of shops
  • Implements all necessary actions to ensure that objectives are met within set budget
  • Ensures that there is a positive and good work ethos in all shops and identifies necessary trainings
  • Reviews staff performance and tracks FTE by department
  • Analyzes monthly KPI's, income statement and balance sheet
  • Participates in the determination of the investment and development plan
  • Promotes Dufry as a brand inside shops and ensures that a high standard of customer service is implemented

Requirements

  • Retail and/or customer service experience with at least 6 years at management level
  • Knowledge of the retail or consumer goods industry
  • Fluent in English
  • Additional languages as applicable
