About the position

The Cryptologic Computer Scientist 4 role involves designing, developing, delivering, and operating solutions to complex cryptologic computer science problems within a scientific framework. This position requires expertise in various areas of computer science to support critical missions for the government, focusing on forensics, attack attribution, and network protection.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deliver, and operate solutions to cryptologic computer science problems.
• Conduct forensics and attack attribution to enhance security measures.
• Protect critical networks and provide active systems warnings and indicators.
• Engage in active penetration into target systems for security assessments.
• Utilize knowledge discovery techniques for passive and active systems.
• Apply computer science skills to provide state-of-the-art techniques and tools.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree plus 7 years of relevant experience in computer science or related field.
• Master's degree with 9 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 11 years of relevant experience.
• Associates degree with 13 years of relevant experience.
• Degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with at least one programming course and at least 4 upper-level math classes (Calculus and above).
• Relevant experience in theoretical or applied computer science, simulation/model development, algorithm analysis and design, reverse engineering, and designing/developing computer and information systems.
