About the position

The CSM Correctional Officer at Baldwin State Prison is responsible for maintaining safety and security within the correctional facility. The officer will also be involved in various activities aimed at rehabilitation and support for inmates.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor inmate activities to ensure safety and security.
• Enforce facility rules and regulations among inmates.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify any security breaches or safety hazards.
• Assist in the rehabilitation and support of inmates through various programs.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents within the facility as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and inmates.
• Physical fitness to handle the demands of the job.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in law enforcement or corrections is preferred.
