About the position

Mosquito Joe of Eastern Suffolk is seeking a Customer Service Specialist with a focus on marketing to enhance customer engagement and drive business growth. This role involves being the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional support, and implementing creative marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and generate new business.

Responsibilities

• Identify needs of customers and suggest services and/or products that are specific to the customer needs to generate sales.
• Handle customer calls/correspondence for service, scheduling, invoicing, and billing inquiries daily.
• Research and identify local advertising opportunities to increase brand awareness and promote services.
• Assist with organizing and participating in home shows, festivals, and other community events to engage directly with potential customers.
• Build and maintain a calendar of local events, sponsorship opportunities, and community engagement activities.
• Brainstorm and reach out to local businesses and organizations to form unique partnerships that drive interest in services.
• Identify and reach out to local bloggers for potential collaborations to promote mosquito control services.
• Build a database of civic leagues and neighborhood associations for advertising opportunities.
• Assist with the distribution of marketing materials in key neighborhoods and businesses.
• Create and manage digital ads to promote services and oversee content creation on social media platforms.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters professionally.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and creative thinking abilities.
• Prior marketing experience, particularly in community outreach or managing social media accounts, is highly preferred.
