About the position

As a CSR/Teller at Fifth Third Bank, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive banking experience for our clients. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with customers, listen to their needs, and guide them to the appropriate financial solutions. You will be accountable for maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, ensuring that all interactions are conducted with integrity and professionalism. In this role, you will also be responsible for managing risks by following established policies and procedures, and by openly communicating any concerns or ideas that may arise during your daily operations. In addition to customer service, you will perform essential operational duties, including maintaining accurate balancing records and addressing any discrepancies that may occur. You will work closely with the platform team to ensure the efficient operation of the office and stay updated on bank policies and financial center procedures. Your ability to handle customer inquiries and problems with professionalism will be key, as you will direct more complex issues to the Lead Customer Service Representative or other leadership as necessary. Furthermore, you will be expected to identify customer needs during interactions and make appropriate referrals to Bankers and business partners for consultative conversations. Building and maintaining a working knowledge of the retail products and services offered by the bank will be essential for your success in this role. Overall, your contributions will help deepen customer relationships and drive a positive customer experience at Fifth Third Bank.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with extensive cash handling.
  • Ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the public.
  • Knowledge of retail policies and procedures to perform essential duties.
  • Ability to take initiative and demonstrate sound judgment in decision-making and problem resolution.
  • Flexibility in scheduling.
