About the position

Amazon is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for the ERP team, specifically for the Project Friendship Referral Program, located in New York. This role is pivotal in developing and executing comprehensive go-to-market strategies for both new and existing products. The successful candidate will conduct in-depth market research to gain a deep understanding of target customers, their pain points, and the competitive landscape. Collaboration with the product management team is essential to define product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that resonate with customers. The role involves creating impactful content such as datasheets, presentations, web copy, and other marketing materials to support sales and enhance customer education. The Product Marketing Manager will devise effective demand generation campaigns across various channels, including digital advertising, email marketing, and events, to drive qualified leads. Close collaboration with sales teams is necessary to provide product training, sales enablement tools, and support to facilitate successful customer acquisition. Monitoring and analyzing key product marketing metrics, such as lead generation, conversion rates, and customer acquisition costs, will be crucial for optimizing strategies. The candidate will stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for product marketing initiatives. Additionally, partnering with customer success teams to gather customer feedback and insights will inform future product and marketing plans. The role requires collaboration across functions with product management, engineering, and other teams to ensure seamless go-to-market execution, contributing to the overall product and marketing strategy in alignment with the company's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new and existing products
  • Conduct in-depth market research to deeply understand target customers, their pain points, and competitive landscape

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities for product marketing initiatives

Requirements

  • 7+ years of developing and managing marketing or channel programs experience
  • 3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience managing teams
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
  • Experience in online marketing channels such as social media marketing, display advertising, and search engine marketing

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of HTML, SQL, Excel
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, or basic data-mining
