About the position

The CT Imaging Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the daily workflow of the imaging department, ensuring effective staff management, training, and compliance with safety standards. This role involves direct communication with medical personnel and addressing patient concerns, all while maintaining high-quality patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the daily work schedule and direct staff to maintain effective workflow.
  • Ensure appropriate orientation, training, and development of staff, students, and new hires.
  • Facilitate cross-training of staff as needed.
  • Perform crucial conversations and confrontations using the chain of command to manage staff.
  • Work effectively with the Technical Manager to flex staff and manage overtime.
  • Support the Safety Ambassador to eliminate errors and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the PACS Recon liaison to eliminate significant PACS errors.
  • Handle first-line patient resolution and customer complaints.
  • Maintain effective communication with physicians, nurses, visitors, and other personnel regarding scheduling and procedure status.
  • Ensure compliance with approved protocol changes.
  • Transport and stock medications in accordance with policy and procedure.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Tech program required.
  • Current ARRT-CT and CRT certifications required.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience as a staff technologist in an acute care hospital setting required.
  • At least 1 year of management experience in a large Imaging department and/or Cardiac Cath Lab required.
