About the position

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing radiological patient care across all age groups, from neonatal to geriatric. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring quality care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies. The position requires working four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, with no weekend duties, and is focused on delivering high-quality imaging services while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures for patients of all ages.
  • Ensure quality care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies.
  • Obtain diagnostic quality images and operate imaging equipment safely.
  • Assist Radiologist during designated procedures and prepare patient history sheets.
  • Transport patients to and from the department as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and ensure it is stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Adhere to radiation safety precautions and ALARA principles when exposing patients to ionizing radiation.
  • Complete required competencies and annual training as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registered by the ARRT to produce ionizing radiation.
  • Advanced registry in CT is required within one year of hire if not already obtained.
  • Possess Texas State Licensure and meet all FDA and State of Texas requirements.
  • Current basic CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Good working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Nice-to-haves

  • CT experience is preferred but not required.
