About the position
The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for producing cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues to assist in diagnosing medical issues. This role involves interpreting physician scanning instructions, administering contrast materials, preparing and operating CT scan equipment, and positioning patients to capture the appropriate images.
Responsibilities
- Interprets CT Protocols and correctly positions the patient for the exam.
- Operates CT scanner equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation standards (ALARA).
- Evaluates CT scans for technical quality.
- Utilizes EPIC, Radiant, and PACS to schedule and transmit images to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Prepares and administers contrast material using the power injector.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Accredited educational program related to the radiology field and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Associate's degree in Applied Science in Diagnostic Radiology.
- Licensed by the State in Diagnostic Technology.

- CT Certification preferred.
