Responsibilities

  • Performs computed tomography and diagnostic scans of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  • Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
  • Maintains patient record and files.
  • Performs general CT procedures and assists with CT guided IVR procedures.
  • Ensures quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols.
  • Ensures compliance with the National Patient Safety goals.
  • Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology (required)
  • Valid Kentucky Radiation Operator's License (required)
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (required)
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography (CT) obtained within one (1) year of employment or transferring into position (required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of hire (required)

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in CT (preferred)
