About the position

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic imaging.
• Communicate with patients to explain procedures and address any questions or concerns.
• Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations while ensuring radiation protection and safety.
• Identify patients and label images accurately, ensuring exam accuracy by comparing requisitions to physician's orders.
• Process images to ensure quality radiographs and call back patients as necessary.
• Assist and consult with Radiologists as needed.
• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and document billing codes for procedures performed.
• Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, utilizing proper lifting techniques.

Requirements

• Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
• Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) to be obtained within 6 months.
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.
