About the position

The CT Technologist position at Southcoast Health involves providing high-quality imaging services as part of an interdisciplinary care team. This role is crucial for patient care, requiring the technologist to perform clinical assessments, operate imaging equipment, and ensure the technical quality of images produced. The position offers flexibility with full-time or part-time hours and includes evening shifts with a rotation for weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified clinical patient care and technical duties within the CT modality.
• Conduct patient assessments and correlate clinical findings with exam requests.
• Obtain and document pertinent information from patient's chart in the EHR.
• Educate patients regarding the exam procedures.
• Position patients and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies.
• Identify, prepare, and/or administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure.
• Select technical factors and parameters to produce quality images.
• Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality.

Requirements

• Experience as a CT Technologist or in a similar role.
• Certification in Radiologic Technology and CT.
• Strong understanding of imaging equipment and techniques.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a hospital setting.
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Ability to float to different hospital locations as needed.
