About the position

As a CT Tech at CHI Memorial Hospital, you will play a crucial role in capturing diagnostic images that assist Radiologists in diagnosing and ruling out various medical conditions. This full-time position requires working nights, including weekends and holidays, and emphasizes the importance of patient interaction and the technical aspects of diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

• Capture usable diagnostic images from patients for accurate diagnosis by Radiologists.
• Create cross-section images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as computed axial tomography, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, mammography, sonography, ultrasound, and/or nuclear medicine and PET.
• Apply thorough and accurate imaging techniques for patient positioning according to imaging orders.
• Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients and teammates.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to prevent equipment failures.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology or within 60 days of graduation from an accredited school.
• Registered/registry eligible in Radiologic Technology or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Must be registered in CT within 1 year of hiring through ARRT or NMTCB.
• BLS certification.
