About the position

The CT Technologist at HCA HealthONE Rose is responsible for using computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' internal organs and tissues for diagnostic purposes. This role requires a solid to expert knowledge of CT procedures, the ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff, and the capability to operate CT scan equipment independently. The position emphasizes patient care and interaction, ensuring a positive experience for individuals ranging from newborns to the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Use computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
• Interpret physician's scanning instructions accurately and administer contrast materials as needed.
• Prepare and operate CT scan equipment, ensuring proper patient positioning for optimal imaging.
• Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff, reflecting concern and consideration during interactions.
• Maintain solid to expert knowledge of all CT procedures and equipment.

Requirements

• Graduate of a 24-month AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certified by ARRT with ARRT(RT)(CT) certification required.
• Current BLS certification required, with Basic Cardiac Life Support to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year of diagnostic experience required; CT experience preferred.
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
