CHI Health Schuyler opened its doors on October 11, 1953, serving the communities of Schuyler, Clarkson, Howells, Leigh, and the residents of rural Colfax County in Nebraska. In addition to its 25 critical access beds, CHI Health Schuyler offers a wide variety of services to residents—children, teens, adults, senior citizens, friends, and neighbors. Responsibilities
- Perform procedures using diagnostic imaging equipment for radiographic imaging under the direction of a physician.
- Provide health care services using various imaging techniques including radiographic, computed axial tomography, magnetic resonance, interventional radiology, mammography, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.
- Exercise professional judgment in the performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
- Participate in on-call duty as needed.
- Assess the patient and explain the procedure, including duration and process, while verifying informed consent.
- Select proper equipment and set correct technical factors and procedure protocols before performing procedures.
- Obtain clear and complete patient history and record data for image interpretation.
- Perform quality assessment of images and evaluate equipment issues, reporting to supervisors as necessary.
- Ensure all equipment is in working order and perform quality tests as required.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and understand accreditation processes and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program.
- BLS required upon hire.
- ARRT Board Certified in Radiology (RTR).
- Must hold a valid Medical Radiography or General Radiology Technologist Permit to Practice license in Nebraska or Iowa.
- ARRT Board Certified in CT within 2 years of hire.
