About The Position

The Director of Career, Technical and Agricultural Education at Ware County High School is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the educational programs related to career and technical education. This position requires a strong background in curriculum development, instruction, and assessments, with a focus on improving student achievement through collaboration with district and school leadership teams. The director will also work closely with industry and post-secondary partners to promote workforce education initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Career, Agricultural and Technical Education.
  • At least five years of successful teaching experience.
  • Three years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrates ability to administer, plan, organize, and direct a complex organizational component of the district.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with district and school level leadership teams to improve student achievement.

Nice To Haves

  • Tier II leadership certification preferred.
  • Specialized training in curriculum development, instruction, assessments, and professional development implementation preferred, especially as it relates to career and technical education.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, plan, organize, and direct a complex organizational component of the district.
  • Work cooperatively with district and school level leadership teams to improve student achievement.
  • Provide evidence of aptitude in decision-making, problem analysis, conflict resolution, interpersonal relations, long-range planning, and designing innovative program offerings.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and post-secondary partners to enhance workforce education and initiatives.
