About the position

The CTE Teacher (Career Coach) plays a vital role in supporting students' transition from high school to postsecondary education or employment. This position focuses on career exploration, job readiness skills, and coordinating activities that prepare students for their future careers. The instructor collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure students have the resources and guidance needed for successful postsecondary pathways.

Responsibilities

• Assist with student orientation process.
• Coordinate postsecondary readiness, preparation and transition activities.
• Monitor students' postsecondary transition progress.
• Manage the College and Career Center and its activities.
• Network with community resources to provide experiential learning opportunities such as work experience, job shadowing, and internships.
• Assist students in developing job readiness skills and personal qualities for the job market.
• Organize employment and postsecondary functions for students and families, including financial aid sessions and career days.
• Assist in initiatives to meet defined FTE enrollment and attendance goals.
• Enter GPAP into STARS.
• Perform all other duties aligned with company policies to achieve student educational and behavioral goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Required)
• 1 year of teaching experience (Required)
