About the position

The Chief of Staff for the CTO organization at Nightwing is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing core technology functions, including research and development investment allocation, catalog offering management, and intellectual property management. This position requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for process improvement and agile implementation, ensuring the smooth functioning of CTO systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The Chief of Staff will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance operational effectiveness and promote a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies for resource allocation to support research & development efforts.
  • Monitor progress of research & development initiatives.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and evaluate their potential for operational efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for technical needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define investment and operational metrics.
  • Track performance and implement improvements as needed.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Manage the technical operations budget and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain security measures for technical infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with business representatives to address technical challenges.
  • Act as an advisor for new ideas and initiatives.
  • Assist in identifying and aligning key strategic priorities.
  • Ensure execution of key strategic initiatives as scheduled.
  • Provide insights into organizational health, including employee satisfaction.
  • Prepare presentations for executives and external speaking opportunities.
  • Participate in meetings, tracking action items and driving task completion.
  • Execute meeting preparation and follow-up activities.
  • Create and review internal and external communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8 - 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Experience communicating and negotiating with C-Level Executives.
  • Strong knowledge of program management, planning, and execution.
  • Experience with change management initiatives.
  • Experience working across technical domains and markets.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Advanced technical or business degrees are a plus.
  • High level of professionalism and customer focus.
  • Ability to provide strategic leadership and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on success and achievement.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
