About the position

This position offers a unique opportunity to join an ambitious startup focused on developing foundational AI solutions for the defense sector. With significant funding and a talented team, the role involves close collaboration with the CEO, allowing for impactful contributions from the outset.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the CEO to drive strategic initiatives.
• Lead a small team in the development and deployment of AI/ML systems.
• Rebuild and maintain a high-reliability codebase.
• Engage in hands-on coding and technical problem-solving as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the CEO regarding project status and strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of industry experience in relevant fields.
• 3+ years of experience reporting directly to a CEO.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML, particularly in deploying real-world systems.
• Experience with hardware, computer vision, and edge computing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and drive a small team.
• Strong technical and personal leadership skills.
• US Citizenship and eligibility for a Secret security clearance.
